The Port Vell is an outstanding part of the global innovative ecosystem of the Port of Barcelona. Two unique buildings have been used to house innovation initiatives, from the most technological to those most focused on the blue economy.

Two unique buildings dedicated to innovation

The first emblematic building to become the headquarters of innovation initiatives was the Palau de Mar in 2016, which houses Pier 01. And the next historic building to be dedicated to innovation will be the sheds of the San Beltran Dock, headquarters of the future BlueTech Port, an ecosystem building for innovation and maritime sustainability that will reinforce Port Vell’s leadership in the blue economy.
